Right out of the gate the case probably saved my table. During the first leg of the trip there was a huge gash on the exterior. I could only imagine what would have happened to the table if that was to happen in the backpack or any other non-protective case.
Will protect for air travel
This is pretty expensive and cheap for what it is. The inside lining was already torn when it arrived, there are no inside straps to hold anything in place, the handle is cheap and does not extend easily and a bunch of us could not figure out how to change the cobination lock. This is the only bag I can find to fly with the table to protect it so my hands are tied but this bag is poorly made.
